While finishing up those pesky doctorates, Dr. Julia Cisneros and I also managed to write about the process of creating G-Camp from a community geography perspective, and what led to its breakdown from the university perspective. We make some clear recommendations on how to move forward, utilizing the lessons we learned and some key tenets of community geography to ensure community engagement and strong institutional support for future camps.
